Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

A vintage historical and literary map of the Old Line State of Maryland. This beautifully detailed, pictorial map from the public domain was designed and drawn by Edwin Tunis, edited, prepared and published in 1931 by the Enoch Pratt Free Library. A series of vignettes surrounding the map illustrate historical scenes and landmark architecture from the area throughout history and an insert at the top right shows the city of Annapolis. This reproduction image has been restored and converted to sepia tone.
I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
